Good News Friday: Let’s Cruise
Sometimes good news and fun events are well orchestrated. Other times they happen spontaneously. It’s homecoming weekend in Stamford and it looks like we’ve got a fun event coming together spontaneously!
Friday night is for football and crowning the homecoming queen (Go Bulldogs!), but Saturday night is now for cruising! This Saturday night (September 4), we’re going to have an informal cruise night, thanks to the great Donna Lefevre and Greg Hagerman. Whether you’ve got a classic car, a tricked out ride, or something simple, we want you to join us. We’ll meet at 8 pm at the downtown square and spend some time cruising the main streets. Donna and Greg will offer $20 in gas to the first three cars and we’ll have a prize for the youngest driver.
Y’all I’m pretty excited about this. Creating a Better Stamford is about making this community a more enjoyable place to live. It takes all of us. Sometimes it’s big improvements. Sometimes it’s little changes. And sometimes it’s just about good old-fashioned fun, like cruising around on Saturday night with a whole bunch of other Stamford folks, listening to good music, and forgetting about the other cares of the world.
“Good News Friday” is a weekly feature spotlighting positive news and activities in the #StamfordTexas community as a part of our quest to build a #BetterStamford.
