Good News Friday: Survey Says
About three weeks ago, we launched the Jones County Broadband Initiative to bring better, faster, and more affordable internet to our residents, businesses, and other users. The first step in that project is to survey a cross section of our county as to internet needs and satisfaction. Today's #GoodNewsFriday is to update you on the results of that survey so far.
#StamfordTexas and Jones County, you are KILLING IT! Three weeks in, we've reached 90% of our target, with 596 survey responses received. Our partners at Connected Nation tell us that we're moving through the process several weeks ahead of schedule and this will help us fast forward to the action planning faster than expected.
As you can see in the table, we have reached 100% of our target in several categories and are nearing it in several others. If you have taken the survey, here's a big THANK YOU! If you have not, please do so. If your category has already reached 100%, a larger number of responses will give us more data to make better decisions and to better negotiate with parties who can help improve our internet. If you are in a category that needs more response (or know someone who could take a survey in that category), please help us gather more responses.
You can find the survey at https://linktr.ee/jamesmdecker. It's clear that our community craves better internet and we're coming together to assemble the data to make it happen. That's Good News!
“Good News Friday” is a weekly feature spotlighting positive news and activities in the #StamfordTexas community as a part of our quest to build a #BetterStamford.
