#GoodNewsFriday: Day by Day
Sometimes, community improvement is about big events. Other times, it’s about the daily work. Day-to-day improvements might seem small when taken individually, but they begin to stack up and turn into major changes. Today, city employees Jeffrey Pippin, Victor Silguero, and Pat Hill installed a culvert and repaired an alley between Compton and Elizabeth Streets. The drainage in this alley has been a problem for a while and many citizens have rightfully expressed their concerns. Today, thanks to the hard work of our employees and with the help of our new mini excavator and road grader, it was repaired and improved.
Stamford has many, many infrastructure repairs that need to be made and many further improvements are needed to see this town reach its potential for all of our citizens. This is not a short term process, but it is a process that will continue until we get it done! Day by day, our public works employees are making it happen.
