#GoodNewsFriday: Fall Fun
I’m always excited when new events take shape in town, or when old events take on new life. Next weekend, we’ve got a little of both! Thanks to the hard work of community volunteers and the Stamford Chamber of Commerce, our new Fall Festival will debut on the downtown square next Saturday, October 30th. There will be loads of activities throughout the day—fun for all ages, vendors, live music, a costume contest, and more! If that wasn’t enough, the newly rebranded Museum of the West Texas Frontier will be open all day with special events focused on Día de los Muertos, concluding with a special showing of “Coco” at 7 pm.
To top it off, our traditional “Trunk or Treat” Halloween event will also take place as part of the new-and-improved downtown festivities.
Over the years, Stamford has been on-and-off with fall festivals, but there are a whole lot of people who are committed to starting some new traditions in 2021 and that excites me. So, finish your costume, clear your schedule, and come spend a fall Saturday with us on the square in downtown Stamford. You’ll be glad you did.
“Good News Friday” is a weekly feature spotlighting positive news and activities in the #StamfordTexas community as a part of our quest to build a #BetterStamford.
