#GoodNewsFriday: Snowy Service
As the snow and ice begins to thaw across Stamford, I want to highlight some of the hard work and community spirit of our City of Stamford employees. Due to the harsh weather and unsafe driving conditions this week, our VIP Center was unable to open Thursday and Friday for lunch and Meals-on-Wheels deliveries as usual. However, there are plenty of shut-ins and older folks who depend on those meal deliveries during the week.
Thankfully, our City employees braved the snow and ice on Thursday morning to deliver prepackaged meals to our shut-ins to serve them for Thursday and Friday. I know this was appreciated by all those folks who received meals. So thank you to Jeffrey Pippin, Victor Silguero, Brandan Foster, Joseph Mendez, Pete Perez, Manuel Ramos, and Bayden Graham for stepping up, stepping in, and helping your fellow members of the Stamford community on a wintry day!
